Adrian (AJ) Newman was born November 18, 1974, in Wichita, Kansas to Margaret Villa and LeRoy Brent Newman (Ayubu Issa). He graduated from North high and worked for Newman Janitorial for years before working for the Schwan Food Company in Salina, Kanas working third shift. Adrian had a love and talent for basketball and played during his high school years. As an adult, his passion for basketball turned into music where he DJ, mixed songs and made beats while hanging out with his cousins and siblings. He had a great sense of humor, loved to play practical jokes on people and would flash his famous grin that he passed down to his children. 

Adrian was baptized at the age of twelve and was very spiritual throughout his life. 

Adrian is proceeded in death by grandfathers, Martin P. Villa and John Newman Sr., grandmother, Janie Newman and brother, Jelani Issa. He leaves to cherish memories: parents, Ayubu Issa of Denver, Colorado, Margaret (John) Ware, Shukura (Hal Ray) Cozart; children, Jacob Brooks, Justice Seamster of Wichita, Kansas, Saint Newman, Samara Newman of Nokomis, Illinois; siblings, Zuwena Issa of Wichita, Kansas, Isaiah Cozart of Seattle, Washington, Khalfani (Ani) Issa, Martin Ware and Kamaria Cozart of Wichita, Kansas, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
