Brenda Gonzales

Brenda always said “All is well and God is good”

Brenda Joyce Gonzales was born on May 18, 1952 in Valliant, OK to the late Quillard Sr. and Thelma (Derrett) Cherry of Valliant, OK.

Brenda moved to Wichita, KS in 1970 where she met her future husband, Jerrill Gonzales and started her family and to this union 8 children were born; Jay also known as “the
favorite”, Lachelle, Sharee, Sharell, Jerry, Mario, Marchello, and Dejuan.

She worked at Metal-Fab for many, many years and retired in July 2017. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Brenda loved to cook, helping where she could, and definitely
talking on the phone (her favorite hobby). She was truly amazing and will be greatly missed.  On October 30, 2025 Brenda went to be with our Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerrill Gonzales; parents Quillard Sr and Thelma Cherry; 2 siblings Gerald L. Lewis and Bertha L. Coleman.

Brenda leaves behind to mourn her passing her children; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings Surretha B. Garcia, Quillard Cherry Jr., Tommy A. Cherry (Charlesetta), Patricia A. Hill (Charles), Phillip E. Cherry, Micheal R. Cherry, Anita G. Cherry, Jimmy D. Cherry and Troy L. Cherry (Jenny); other family members and friends.
