Consuela Terrill Sanders, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, went home on November 3rd, 2024. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in the early morning hours. Consuela’s life was marked by a quiet strength and fierce spirit. An introvert at heart, she cherished her time at home, finding comfort in her own company. Yet, whenever she stepped out, she delighted in sharing meals and moments with family, creating memories over good food and laughter.
Consuela found joy in watching cooking shows, drama, and mystery series, fueling her natural curiosity and love for stories. She also had a passion for singing and dancing, bringing warmth and vibrancy into the lives of those around her. She will be remembered for her ability to find beauty in life’s simplest pleasures.
She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Leola Sanders, and her son, Todd Ray Simpkins.
Consuela leaves behind her three children, June Renee, DuJuan Ray, and Terrill Ray Simpkins, who will continue to carry forward her love and strength. She is also survived by her parents, Bobby Jones and Dianne Sanders; her sister, Ashley Blackway and her husband Brett; and her cherished nieces, Chloie Foster-Blackway and Amelia Blackway, along with her nephew, Adrian Blackway, all of Wichita, KS.
Consuela’s life will be celebrated by those who loved her, honoring her quiet resilience, her joy for music and dance, and the love she shared with her family. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
