David "DJ" Edwards Jr.

David W. Edwards Jr. (DJ) was born August 22, 1983 in Garden City, KS to David W. Edwards Sr. and Teresa Boley. 

The family moved to Wichita where DJ attended school at Southeast High.  He lived in the Wichita area his entire life.  He traveled to many places thoughout the country.

He was a fun loving person and a prankster.  DJ loved spending time with family and was dedicated and dependable with what he was doing.  He was especially close to his nephews Dylan 17, Damion 14, Sonny 10, Chase 3, and Chastion 1 all of Wichita.  DJ also spent many hours helping his grandmother June.  He would not shy away from helping others, tackling any task put in front of him. 

DJ left our world on December 1, 2021 in Wichita, KS.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, his robust laughter, funny stories and prankster ways.  DJ was always searching for the smile and joy on other faces.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Harvey S. Edwards Sr; maternal grandparents Albert and Patricia Bosley; maternal aunt Linda Henson.

DJ is survived by his companion Jenny and favorite dog Angel; his father David and stepmother Gayl; mother Teresa Bosley and stepfather David Barton; his siblings Amanda Kuhn (Mark), Jesse L. Edwards, Melissa Barton, Genevieve Barton, Amelia Barton all of Wichita; his grandmother June Carlton as well as several aunts, uncles, nephews , cousins and friends.
