Debra “Debbie” Joan Hesse-Birmingham
Born in Wichita, KS on May 7th, 1957.
Gained her heavenly wings on June 19th, 2023.
Debbie graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1975. She then went on to graduate from Butler Community College to obtain her RN license where she worked as a nurse in Wichita and surrounding areas. She retired in 2015 from USD 396 where she worked with special needs children.
Debbie was a loving mother, grandmother, partner, as well as a lover of all animals. Especially her horses. She had the most kind, loving, gentle, and caring soul to match her smile that could brighten even the darkest room. She loved to travel, and even spent some time backpacking through Europe. Her life was spent with her children, grandchildren, her partner, tending to her gardens, riding her horses, dancing, enjoying the outdoors in the country or on her back deck at home. She loved watching John Wayne, Sci-Fi, and Hallmark movies. She enjoyed reading books, playing guitar and piano, as well as going to live concerts.
Debbie is preceded in death by her son, Kelton Hesse-Birmingham.
Debbie is survived by her mother Thora Bean; sons Nigel (Valerie) Hesse-Birmingham, Elijah Hesse-Birmingham, Israel Hesse-Birmingham, and Sage Hesse-Birmingham; sister Linda (Kyle) Bean-Pieschl; brothers Timothy R. Love, Wendell Bean, Mark Bean, and Rian Lewis; grandchildren Dylan Birmingham and Aviel Hesse-Birmingham; life partner, Steven Long and bonus family.
