Denise Asher-Guider

Denise Dane Asher, born on March 17, 1958, in Wichita, KS was the beloved daughter of Ruth Naomi Asher and Vernon Luke Wilson. She  attended Wichita Public Schools, graduating from Wichita East High School in 1976. Denise was a deeply faithful woman who cherished her family above all else. Her daily devotion to reading the bible and her unwavering kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Known for her culinary talents, she delighted in ensuring her loved ones were always well fed with her delicious meals. Denise’s love for music and her joyful spirit made her the heart of every gathering, where her vibrant dancing lit up the room –a gift she continued to share until the day she was called home.

Denise is preceded in death by her Mother Ruth N. Asher; her Father Vernon L. Wilson; her siblings Dwight D. Asher, Marsha L. Asher, Sidney F. Asher and Paul A. Walker, Sr. and Niece Latorya A. Sullivan.

 Denise leaves to cherish her memory three children: Monte Kates (Amanda) Wichita, KS; Shawntee Pressley (Marc) Oklahoma City, OK; Shaunice Calton Edmond, OK; two siblings: Zoe P. Asher Wichita, KS and Brenda F. Lawrence Oklahoma City, OK; her Grandchildren: Michael Kates, Marc Pressley, Jr., Marcus Kates, Mason Pressley, Sanaa Calton, Madison Pressley, Samiyah Calton and Marlee Pressley and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and close family friends.
