G.W. Thomas Jr., affectionately known as “Lil G,” was called home the evening of May 22nd at
the young age of 47. He was born on September 4, 1977, in Wichita, Kansas, to George W.
Thomas Sr. and LueRue Thomas. From an early age, his father lovingly gave him the
nickname “Lil G,” a name that would follow him through a life filled with love, laughter, and
resilience.
Lil G was educated in the Wichita Public School system and proudly earned his high school
diploma. He went on to pursue a career as a self-employed carpenter, using his hands and
heart to build more than just structures—he built connections, friendships, and memories.
Lil G loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas
Cowboys, and he cherished the peace of camping and fishing. Known for his sharp sense of
style, he always dressed from head to toe with confidence and pride. Lil G had a strong and
protective spirit, always ready to defend those he loved. If you were family or a friend, he had
your back—no questions asked.
Those who knew Lil G also knew that he had a sharp tongue and never shied away from
speaking his mind. He could be blunt, even abrasive at times, and he was unapologetic about
the things that came out of his mouth. Some might even say he could be a real handful, but
he was always true to himself. He kept it real, no matter who you were
Lil G is preceded in death by his father, George. W. Thomas Sr., and his grandparents, J.C.

Thomas, and ZaRaylah Thomas; and sons Tynellius Thomas, G.W. Thomas III, and Ayden
Thomas. He is also survived by his significant other, Breanna Rich; grandchildren Acelynn
