On the morning of Tuesday, June 7, 2022 Joseph “Sugar” David Castor (US Army Veteran) of Leon Kansas passed away peacefully at the age of 73.
Joe was born March 3, 1949 in Larned, Kansas. He attended Hutchinson High School. Joe was then drafted into the United States Army and completed his service in 1970. He began his railroad career with Santa Fe Railroad and retired in 1986. Other employment included Jarvis Auto Supply and O’Reilly Auto Parts. Joe loved to cowboy, ride horses, bowl, race cars and participated in many classic car shows. He dearly loved his Dog Josie and horse Olds.
Joe is survived by his two daughters Janina Castor, Jaimie Castor, two grandchildren Alexus Castor-Inscho, Angelo Castor-Inscho. Siblings Gloria Valadez, John Gonzales, Albert(Leta)Castor, Rose Kelsey, Ann Forst and Marietta “Bobbie” Schreiber along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Isabel and his stepfather Clyde Schreiber; stepbrothers Ronnie Schreiber, C.J. Schreiber, Brother-in-laws, Gene Kelsey, Dennis Forst, Tom Valadez.
A Funeral Mass and Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022
