Kamau King

Marlowe "Kamau" King/ Macharia Kalomo Kamau Chaka Bey Beno Nakisisa. He was born on April 9th, 1952 and passed on September 9th, 2025 at 3:36 p.m. at Wesley Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Yvonne Hatcher, his sister Juaque and Brenda. Marlowe is survived by his children Timothy. Afrika, and Khalil, his wife Sarah, his sisters Linda, Regina, Kim and his brother Nakomis, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be tremendously missed. Marlowe spent his life getting educated, and educating others. He worked hard and helped others in the community. He had a heart bigger than the world. One of his earlier goals was starting a nonprofit that helped inmates find work with the company. He was the man that would give you the shirt off his back and teach you how to make another one. An artist, a scholar, a teacher, and most importantly a person who earned the respect of his peers. He was a friend to all and the most loyal person to his friends and family. His career path varied a bit. He was in construction for years and then went into the restaurant business several years after. He had the tremendous gift of gab and was so very passionate about the things he believed in. He was a member of the Black Panthers and always defended the "little guy”. His presence brought a feeling of power and that of being humble. He was an excellent Father, Brother and Uncle, and Husband. He was an inspiration to many men that he met. He had a passion for cooking, writing, and being able to build anything. He will forever be remembered and in the hearts of many.
