Leonard Montez Clinnard James, was born in Wichita, KS to Mattie James Duckett and the late Leonard Collins on January 23rd, 1975, Affectionately known as Montez , Montez was called home to be with the Lord on October 18th, 2021. He was the second eldest of six siblings and one irreplaceable bonus brother.
Montez attended Fort Smith, Arkansas public Schools and graduated from West High School In Wichita, KS. If you knew Montez, then you knew he loved the sight of a fresh and so clean Cutlass. Being a jack of all trades, he could even build one from the ground up.
Montez loved his family and especially the children, So much so. that he had 10 of his very own! He enjoyed taking all of the kids camping......and let's not forget about his biddy basketball days! In the studio Montez became the "Kanzaz Chiefa", music, beats, and lyricizing was truly his passion.
Leonard left a memorable mark on any and everyone that he encountered and he will truly be missed!!
He is preceded in death by Robert Lee James SR. (Grandfather), Virgie Lee James (Grandmother), Leonard Collins (Father), Cheryl McCullough(Sister), Elsie Jean Baker(Aunt), Chantelle James-Hill(Aunt), William Winford(Uncle), Lashayten Cuble- Cameron (Niece), & Calvin Baker(Cousin).
He is survived by Mattie James Duckett(Mother), Sisters; Catavia James, Frednisha Cuble, Jessica Duckett Lynnisha Collins, &Lisa Collins . Brothers; Cedric White SR, Bryce Duckett, & Tito Williams. Sons; Montez James, Semaj James, & Cairo James, Daughters; Shawntel James, Aumuneke Brooks, Seneke James, Sassone James, Sanaii James, Savatne James, & Onyx- Phyre James and a host of family and friends.
