Marlene Feld Anderson, 73, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Feb. 15, 2023.
Marlene was born in Chanute, KS. on July 21, 1949 and grew up outside of town on the Feld Family Farm. She moved to Kansas City upon graduating from Chanute High School to attend IBM’s tech school and after graduating from there moved to Virginia to work for the CIA’s data processing department. Her son Sean was born in 1974 she then moved back to Kansas in 1976. In 1977, her daughter Kelly was born. At age 52 Marlene retired from Cargill where she had worked her way into a leadership position as a senior business analyst. She enjoyed a long retirement with her children & grandchildren making memories from frequent trips to the Feld Family Farm.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Thelma Feld, and brother, Donald Feld. Marlene was a beloved sister to her siblings Neil Feld(Jan), Ruby Derr(Trent), Don Feld(Linda), and Kay Barriger(Art) proud aunt to many nieces and nephews; loving mother to Sean Anderson(Kristin Beal)& Kelly West; and dear grandmother to Sage, Agnes, Emery, and Elliott.
Marlene was a member of Christ The King Parish at 4411 W Maple in Wichita, KS., where her services will be held, with a 3 p.m. visitation and 5 p.m. Rosary on Friday, February 24 and a funeral mass on Saturday, February 25 at 10 a.m.
