Mary Craig Obituary

Mary Ann Craig was born into a loving family and was the oldest of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Adams Sr. and Lillie Mae Adams, and her brother, John Adams Jr. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Eddie Mae Alexander of Wagoner, Oklahoma
Mary Ann attended North High School in Wichita, Kansas. She later attended Wichita State University, where she earned her nursing certificate and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her passion for caring for others guided her throughout her life and career.
At an early age, Mary Ann accepted Christ as her Savior. She faithfully attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years and regularly attended Sunday School. Pastor Fred Crayton shared that Mary Ann loved learning about the Word of God. She was known for encouraging, serving, and helping others. Whether attending birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, or simply showing up in support, Mary Ann had a special way of making everyone feel loved and valued.
Mary Ann retired from the Veterans Hospital after 30 years of dedicated service as a nurse. She truly loved caring for people. The love of her life was Les Vinson, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years. Mary Ann deeply loved her family and friends and had a gift for making others feel seen, supported, and appreciated.
Left to cherish her precious memory are the love of her life, Les Vinson of Wichita, Kansas; her sister, Eddie Mae Alexander of Wagoner, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Let us celebrate the beautiful legacy of Mary Ann Craig by continuing to show love, kindness, and support to one another.
“Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” Hebrews 13:1–2 NKJV
