With life and passion, Mattie Twitchell - Purdy’s legacy is honored by those she loves. On April 5, 2021, at the age of 37, Mattie ended her courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends who will live their lives to the fullest in her memory.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Mattie always saw the best in people, and in return was surrounded by many who cherished her. A sense of adventure and love of traveling brought Mattie and all she touched, joy. However, she was most content with her family piled on the couch, watching a movie. Her proudest accomplishment is her children and their potential!
As an entrepreneur with a home cleaning service, Mattie would magically transform homes, leaving beautiful imprints forever, her clients becoming family.
Mattie was an amazing cook and grill master and could host the best parties. She was artistic, creative, and competitive and loved nothing more than beating her sister at each Thanksgiving crafting session.
A ballet/modern dancer and lover of music, Mattie was exuberant and shared her passions endlessly. A wild and crazy life! Her good-natured husband pulled along on her spontaneous escapades, witnessing what Mattie hoped all can realize, a spirit that can never be contained.
Mattie would touch one’s soul and leave an impression. People were drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Her laughter came quick, her smile even faster. Mattie is survived by her devoted husband, Bryant Purdy, cherished children Skye, Raiden, LaMari and Brysie, parents Bill and Becky Twitchell, sister Casondra (Ryan Johnson), plus, many extended, treasured family and friends.
Memorials may be sent to the Kansas Humane Society in her name in honor of Zen and all the other animals she rescued and cherished. Funeral service time and place pending.
