Megan Ross Obituary

Sharing a remembrance of the beautiful life Megan Marie Ross, born March 31, 1994, and lovingly remembered after her passing on November 21, 2025.

There are some people who seem to carry sunlight with them, people whose laughter fills a room, whose presence eases the day, and whose spirit turns ordinary moments into cherished memories. Megan was truly one of those souls.

Born in Wichita, KS to Michael Ross Sr. and Verna Ross, Megan entered the world full of life, warmth, and personality, one minute older than her twin sister, Mary, a fact she held onto with playful pride. Alongside their older brother, Michael Jr., the siblings created a home filled with music, laughter and the joyful chaos of a close -knit family.

A constant in Megan's life was her Uncle Charles, whose love, support, and unwavering presence shaped many of her early memories. He drove from Kansas City often, took the girls to their first day of preschool, and remained a steady throughout their school years. As Megan grew into her teen years, her world expanded through the music she loved hip -hop, R&B, and rap, and through the countless hours spent talking and laughing with friends.

After graduating from Wichita West High School in 2013, she and her twin experienced one of the most unforgettable moments: being told to pick out new cars at a Volkswagen dealership. Megan chose a white Jetta with a sunroof and wasted no time embracing her newfound freedom.

Ambitious and determined, Megan worked hard, using her earnings to support her goals. She moved through life with intention-fearless, curious, and ready for any adventure. Mary remembers that Megan gave the very best hugs, and they were warm, grounding, and impossible to forget.

Like her brother Michael, Megan cherished both her time with loved ones and her peaceful moments of solitude.

Megan is preceded in death by her mother Verna Ross. She is survived by her father Michael Ross Sr; brother Michael Leroy Ross Jr.; twin sister Mary Courtney Ross; and her grandparents: Maternal: Captoria Carter and Gene Carter; Paternal: Tim Ross and Mary C. Ross.

Her life was rich with connection, laughter, music, and adventure. Though her journey was far too short, she lived boldly, loved fearlessly, and left behind memories that will uphold her family through their hardest days.
