Susie "Sue" McClellan

Susie Marie McClellan was born on may 19, 1929 in Sulligent, AL to the late Arthur and Mary Bankhead Sr. She was the 2nd of 12 children. As a child she attended Sulligent Elementary and Todd High School. In 1965 Sue moved to Wichita, KS where she worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital for over 20 years and retired from Cessna Aircraft. Sue had a great love for her family and loved helping others. She loved and served the Lord, praising Him until her death. She was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Susie is preceded in death by her daughter Jacquelyn “Jackie” Glenn of Wichita, KS; granddaughter Tierney Steele of Denton, TX; sisters Virginia Mae Savage of Sulligent, AL, Bessie McGinty of Buckeye, AZ and Louise Allen of Pasadena, CA; brothers Arthur Bankhead Jr. (Peter), Johnny Bankhead and James C. Bankhead all of Sulligent, AL. She leaves to cherish beautiful memories her daughter Priscilla Fondren-Rolfe (Stanley); sisters Marjorie Oliver (Buddy) of Colorado Springs, CO, Ada Deb of Clarksville, TN and Loretta Callum of Pasadena, CA; brother Jackson Bankhead of Sulligent, AL; grandchildren Angela Toney of WA, Tiffany Fondren of Denton, TX and Antwan Fondren of Wichita, KS; great grandchildren Larrissa Tucker, Taikwan Fondren, Antwan Fondren Jr., A'niya Fondren, Zi'Maris Fondren; great-great grandson Jahmir Robinson, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
