It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Tyrrell A. Blue
. Born on April 2, 1980, in Wichita, KS, Tyrrell was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. Known for his love of music and the arts at an early age. Tyrrell was kindhearted, adventurously spirited and he had a way of making everyone around him feel seen and valued.
Tyrrell attended Wichita’s public schools, graduated from Hollywood Heights Highschool and attended some college. Tyrrell was the gospel choir president while attending high school which nurtured and perpetuated his love for the arts even further. Tyrrell left home to pursue an acting and singing career which was his passion. He travelled to various places in pursuit of making his dreams a reality, meeting the likes of Erykah Badu. Eventually landing in California, Tyrrell lived his best life. His presence brought a unique warmth to our home, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
He is survived by his loving parents, Josephine T. Bengi and Kenneth Blue; his devoted sister/niece, Tamika Chestnut/E’Daigiani Taylor. his grandmother, L. Blue, his aunts and uncle, Norman Bouwie/Lealona Bouwie, his aunt, Alicia Pope and a host of cousins, extended family and dear friends who will miss him beyond measure.
Tyrrell taught us the importance of loving people and chasing your dreams. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on our hearts is eternal.
